R4i 3DS card and R4 3DS card review

As Nintendo 3DS arrived on Feb 26th, more and more 3DS card appeared in the market. Such as R4i SDHC 3DS card from r4i-sdhc.com, R4i 3DS card from r4ids.cn, 3DS card from n3dscard.com, r4itt 3ds card, acekard 2i, acekard 3, M3i zero, TT 3DS, r4idsn card and so on.. Some flashcards broke Nintendo 3DS by upgrading their firmware, while others released new 3DS card special for N3DS console. But all of these 3DS card can only hacked 2D ROM, no flashcard can run 3D games currently. During these 3DS cards, R4i SDHC 3DS and R4i 3DS card are famous for brand. R4i SDHC 3DS use a totally new package, which is different from the old r4i sdhc V1.4.1 card. It is also adopt red r4i package. there is a big "3DS"letter printed on the front side, but the back side are very similar with old r4i sdhc card. The accessories in r4i sdhc 3DS box contains:

R4i 3DS card has same package as old r4i gold card. For difference, r4ids.cn pasted a "3DS card" mark to the outer box. R4i 3DS gold package contains:

As a new 3DS card, r4i 3DS card is a little expensive than old r4i card. Different shop offers different price. But in most of them, the r4i sdhc 3DS card is 2 or 3 dollars less than r4i 3DS card. R4i SDHC 3DS Versus Gold R4i 3DS in sofeware As a totall new 3DS card, R4i sdhc 3ds card use new kernel -- R4i sdhc 3DS kernel. The latest version is R4i sdhc 3DS V1.35b, which is different from r4i sdhc V1.35b. r4i-sdhc.com team always update the R4i sdhc 3DS kernel for every month. R4i 3DS gold card is compatible with old r4i gold kernel. It support wood r4i gold kernel (latest version is wood r4 V1.28) and r4i kernel. (latest version is r4i v1.51). Wood r4 kernel is updated very fast, but r4i kernel updated slowly.
Considering every aspects, there are not much difference in between R4i SDHC 3DS card and Gold R4i 3DS card. In spite of the price and package, they are almost the same. It is no need for players to spend too much time for comparsion, both R4i SDHC 3DS and R4i 3DS card are good. If you have a new Nintendo 3DS console, just buy a 3DS card, then you can start to enjoy games or medias.
