R4 3DS Card Homebrew Games For Your Nintendo DS And 3DS

While there are a plethora of uses for the R4 3DS Card for the Nintendo DSi and the new Nintendo 3DS system, one of the most common reasons people buy the card is purely for playing games.  People want to have access to the freeware games that are released regularly for the Nintendo DS, DSI, and Nintendo 3DS.  And the only way to play them is with this little accessory.
I am not talking about commercial games that you could play on your R4 DS Card in the form of roms.  I am talking about the games you can’t buy in stores, because they are not for sale.  They’re freeware games released to the community of gamers that love both developing games and just playing them for the fun of it.  Games like the old classic Manic Miner, or Maniac Mansion, that were remade for the Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS system.  And a whole slew of games that you have probably never even heard of, like the Aliens game, or ColorsDS.   There are actually hundreds, perhaps even a thousand different freeware games out there on line.  So if you’re looking to either get games for yourself or your kids on the cheap, there’s no better price than free games.
While not every single one of these freeware games is going to be to your liking (the same can be said about some PC freeware and shareware software) – you’ll find enough of them to keep you or your kids occupied.  And while there are some works in progress, or amateur looking games, they can be equally as much fun as some of the newer DSi games that have been hitting store shelves lately.  And I don’t mean to say that freeware games for the DS aren’t any good.  There are in fact a whole lot of games that rival the quality and design of many of todays hottest games from big publishers.  Games like the remake of Manic Miner for example, Delta Force, Tetris War Attack, or the World Of Warcraft Tower Defense game.  These games look like they were created by a professional team that planned to sell their games to the public.  They didn’t of course.  The games were created and released because the people love to make games, and love to give them out to the masses, free of charge.
You’ll need either the R4 DS Card for the Nintendo DS and DS lite, or the r4 3ds card for the Nintendo 3DS in order to be able to play these games.  These flash cards allow you to store the games on micro sd cards, and enable your DS system to read them.
