R4 3DS and R4i 3DS Receive Firmware Update

The latest Nintendo 3DS, with the new low price was just introduced and retailers are now carrying this budget priced 3D game system.  But not only the price has changed.  All of these new 3DS consoles now come with the newest Version 2.1.3 of the system firmware.  This means that all R4 3DS and R4i 3DS cards are no longer recognized when you try to use these DS cards  for your homebrew and multimedia needs.

The good news however is that the company behind the cards have released their own firmware update just days after the release of v2.1.3.  The new 1.43B kernel has added full support for these new Nintendo 3DS systems, and your R4 3DS will continue working and enabling you to store and load your homebrew, applications, games, movies and more.  Nothing as far as use has changed.  The menu remains the same, you have the added benefit of the easy to use user interface – everything that you were able to do before, is possible once again.

Some compatibility issues for some games have been fixed, and new updates added for cheat codes, and even the DSi side has been updated, to ensure continued compatibility with the newest DSi and DSI XL system update as well.
