1. download the latest kernel firmware v3.2b from r4isdhc.com,unzip it,open the folder and copy the root files into your micro sd card
2. insert your micro sd card into your N3DS and power it
3. Click the icon and enter the r4isdhc silver rts 3ds GUI
Just follow these steps you can play nds game on N3DS V7.1.0-16 perfectly, now enjoy your games.
