Prepared things :
1. R4i gold 3ds card micro sd card as well as a card reader .
2. A console ( NDS/NDSL, DSi/ 3DS ( firmware lower than V6.2.0-12 ).
Steps
1. download the latest wood firmware v1.61 from r4ids.cn

2. unzip it,open the folder and copy the root files into your micro sd card

3. download the N3DS V6.2.0-12 updated patch


4. unzip it,open the folder and you will see these two files

5. For NDS Users :
1) if you update your r4i gold rts 3ds by NDS/NDSL,you need put these files into your micro sd card

2) insert your micro sd card into your r4i gold and put them together your NDS and boot up R4iGold_3DS62_Patch_NDSL.nds


3) Take out your r4i gold 3ds from NDSL and reinsert your r4i gold 3ds
4) Press KEY_A and the updating process will begin



5 ) After updating your card with sucess, your r4i gold 3ds can support 3DS6.2.0-12 now.

6. For DSi and 3DS Users
1) you need put these files into your micro sd card


2 ) insert your micro sd card into your r4i gold and put them together your NDS and boot up R4iGold_3DS62_Patch_NDSi_3DS.nds to update your r4i gold 3ds.
3) Press KEY_A and the updating process will begin.
4) After updating your card with sucess, your r4i gold 3ds can support 3DS6.2.0-12 now

How To Use The Blue Gateway 3DS To Play DS Games On 3DS

Now the blue gateway 3ds can play ds games on 3ds v6.1.0-12E, you can download the firmware from offical website.but how to use this card, it is a little difficult, now you can follow the steps. and This blue card can work on 3ds v6.1.0-12E, you can also buy R4i Gold 3DS,this card can work on 3ds v6.1.0-12.
Step1: a, Download the firmware from gateway 3ds offical website, or you can download from here
b,  Prepare blue gateway installer card

c, Copy files from blue card (R4i) folder to the root of a fat 32 formatted micro sd card

Step2: a, Repeat on ds mood entry

b, Run gateway installer

c, Press A to install

d, Press A to power down or home to return to main menu
Remove blue gateway cart
NOTE: Step4 to 7 must repeated any time the console enters ds mode.

Step3: Copy launcher.dat from GW release to the root of sd card from 3ds

Step4: Laching gateway mode (repeat every power cycle)




Wait for 5-8 seconds for system to reboot into GW mode

make sure to select the correct device in win32 disk imager drop down list.

Second:  Download the R4i sdhc 3ds silver rts updaye patch for 3DS V4.5.0-10 from here: r4isdhcsilverupdateV5.06.zip

Extract here

open the folder, you will see the update patch here

Copy this file on the root of your sd card. so finally the sd card has these files

Put the SD card with your r4i sdhc sliver rts cart into  a DS lite console. turn on

Click the game icon

Click the update file and start the update


Click A to continue


When finished

Now you have finished updating , just use the card on your 3ds console.
